Fact checking. Truth telling. Peace giving.

You’ll often see me posting scripture verses alongside some of my own experiences and commentary. That’s because I believe God’s Word is the only Truth on which we can base a life of freedom, peace, and joy. It’s a way of crosschecking myself to make sure I’m not offering thoughts that are contrary to what God wants us to believe. I’m not anywhere close to perfect, but Truth is one of my core values, and it rattles my cage when I see people deceived by subtle, often unintentional, misguided examples.

The more I study the Bible, the easier it is to spot the lies our society offers as food for the soul.

Here’s an example that really hit me sideways a few weeks ago, and I’ve thought about it every now and then since. It doesn’t take much of a shift in commentary to get people totally off track. Can you spot the lie?

I would love to hear your thoughts, especially since this type of conversation is one of my favorite ways to take relationships to a deeper level. Send me a note!
